Two construction workers building a wooden frame structure outdoors on a rainy day with trees in the background.

How it Works

Step 1
Planning & Permitting
We start by handling all the behind-the-scenes details:
  • Gather and submit everything needed for your local permit.
  • Source materials and schedule deliveries.
  • Coordinate any subcontractor visits to review your site.
  • Schedule every subcontractor in the right order for a smooth project flow.
You won’t have to chase anyone down, we take care of it.
Step 2
Excavation & Tree Removal (1–5 Days)
This is where Jay, our excavator, preps and levels your building site.
If your project includes a poured wall foundation, Jay will handle that setup too.
We typically leave about a week between excavation and framing, this buffer keeps your timeline safe from small delays.
Step 3
Footings & Foundation
You’ll have one of two foundation types:
Post Frame (≈1 Day)
  • Our crew lays out your building and preps for concrete piers.
  • Jay returns to auger the holes.
  • The concrete truck arrives, and we pour, level, and shape your piers in place.
Poured Wall (≈1–2 Weeks)
  • Our crew lays out your building and preps for concrete piers.
  • Jay returns to auger the holes.
  • The concrete truck arrives, and we pour, level, and shape your piers in place.
Step 4
Framing / Building the Structure
(1–3 Weeks) This is when your building really starts to take shape. We build the walls, roof, second story, and stairs, fast, precise, and weather-tight.
Step 5
Plumbing & In-Floor Heat
(1–4 Days) If your building includes plumbing or in-floor heat, our mechanical team will install all rough-in materials now.
Step 6
Lighting Prep
(1 Day) We’ll walk through and mark lighting and fan locations with you. This ensures everything ends up exactly where you want it.
Step 7
Roofing Installation
(1–3 Days) Once framing is complete, our roofing subcontractors install your chosen roof — shingles or standing seam metal.
Step 8
Concrete Floor, Approach, & Sidewalks (2–5 Days)
Next comes the concrete:
  • The crew pours the interior floor first.
  • Then the approach and sidewalks.
  • Drains are added if you’ve chosen them.
Step 9
Windows & Service Doors
(1 Day) When the roof and concrete are done, we install all windows and service doors.
Note: You’ll need to have your door handles and deadbolts on-site before we start this step.Wildwood doesn’t purchase hardware, but we’ll install it for you.
Step 10
Trim & Siding
(1–2 Weeks) Now it’s time for curb appeal.
We’ll install all trim, siding, soffit, and fascia — the finishing details that make your building look complete.
