Brendan started his construction journey at the age of 19. He left a job as a full time butcher to work for a Restoration and Construction company. There he got to see why building practices change and adapt over time. He was tasked with fixing issues caused by incorrect flashing (water prevention), structural failures, and faulty foundations. While doing anything from small repairs to building whole homes with his incredible co-workers, he took night classes for construction through Associated Builders and Contractors at Grand Rapids Community College. Eager to learn more and challenge himself, he set out to start McKellar Construction in 2022, now Wildwood Barn Builders.
Brendan enjoys hiking with his dogs, working outside, conversations, and live concerts.
